Onto some more facts about Tom….
I feel it’s important that you know who we are and that we walk the walk instead of just talking the talk.
For all you know, we could be two guys sat behind a lap top harping on about fat loss and other things without ever being involved in the industry. We are not and I’m sure many of you know this but this post will clarify a few points
So here are 8 interesting facts about Tom that you might not know –
1) He has been involved in the fitness industry for 20 years
2) He has featured countless times within Men’s Fitness and other fitness/health/fashion magazines and has been featured in two books (200+ pages of him, what a horrible thought). Below is the cover of one of them….http://ultimatecityfitness.com
3) He lived and worked in Paris for 6 years working as a Personal Trainer. His clients included some of the Master Trainers for Body Training Systems (BTS that own Bodypump, Body Balance, Body Attack, etc).
He also worked as a party promoter, with a guy called David Guetta (not sure you’ve heard of him, he’s a DJ apparently) before Monsieur Guetta got a tiny bit famous.
Tom is also fluent in French (might be a bit rusty now though…)
4) He is sponsored by Kinetica Sports Nutrition. http://www.ucf.kineticasports.com for 25% off Kinetica products.
5) He is a born and bred in King’s Lynn and is a proud supporter of Norwich Football Club. (Come on you Yellows!)
6) He keeps his body fat at around 6-9%, all year round through a combination of heavy weights, Boot camp and a good clean protein and veg based diet. I would also say that he has a healthy sprinkle of genetics in his favour. He is currently at around 6%, possibly lower as he had a recent photo shoot. See below.
7) His favourite junk food is Snickers! He has been known to eat over 6 per day on a cheat day. (Warning! Do not try this at home. This stunt was performed by a professional )
8) He is 40 years young!
So there we have 8 facts about Tom. Hopefully my light-hearted way of introducing you to Tom has made you smile (it’s made me smile) and educated you a little more into the life of Mr Dyer, my business partner. You will be hearing lots more from him in the future.
That’s all for now.

Oh and Kinetica just used him in their latest protein ad….
Ok, onto the facts and testimonials….
Jason and Tom met in August and he was at a crossroads in life. He had progressively packed on a few pounds a year, year after year and liked his social life and family occasions. He needed a solution to fit his busy lifestyle that would give results. Sound familiar?
He was prepared to do what was needed and as you can see, he is well on his way after nearly five months of hard work with a fun December sandwiched in the middle!
A combination of heavy weights and High Intensity Interval Training has delivered what you see so far, the statistics make good reading;
Start weight end August 265lbs
Weight on 6th February 222lbs
43lbs lost so far in TOTAL Weight
Start Bodyfat 31%
Start muscle 32%
Start waist 44″
New goals for summer – June 1st 2014
Jason’s attitude is that of many of the entrepreneurs and successful people Ultimate City Fitness have the luck to train with. He understands that to get results he has to push past the comfort zone. He has to follow a meal plan through the week, with the occasional treat meal and drink to keep him sane and sociable at the weekend.
Here’s another shot from Jason!

“I have been working with UCF and Tom Dyer for just over 6 months now. I am nearly 40 years of age and consider myself to be in fairly good shape for my age, given the fact a little more than 4 years ago I had never used a Personal Trainer or Gym for that matter. Its worth noting that I was also about 5 stone heavier than I am now.
So why the change? I was looking old for my time, my health and diet were poor, and all this was because I thought I had the most demanding job on the planet and my excuse was I never had time. So I made time, as I spent a week in hospital suffering with exhaustion – seriously!!!!!
In my quest to improve my health, fitness, and ever growing waistline I joined a well know gym and immediately enlisted a PT, I needed the motivation!
Since 2008 I have used 3 personal trainers, and now finally Tom at UCF at Ignite! I say finally because I cannot see myself ever using another. I’ve swapped around as some (not all) PT’s are quite frankly poor, and we the punter are paying to be pushed are we not? I wanted someone who was holistic in their approach, added variety to the workouts, empowered you to learn, showed empathy to your needs, and most importantly the nutritional advice to go with it. Tom fulfils all of this, and is a nice guy to work with.
I still have the most demanding job on the planet, the irony being I practice postural ergonomics for a living, so all about posture at your desk and computer…. but we don’t always practice what we preach do we!
I am half the man – literally, and much stronger physically, and mentally as a result of the hard work. I just make the time now for myself, it really is important an truly believe it, and it can be FUN!
So why the title – “Lighting Reflexes Matrix Style”, simple it’s in no small part that due to my work with Tom over these past weeks, with an intensive core workout having been on the agenda, that I managed to avoid a nasty accident on my bicycle last Wednesday morning, I am certain that purely due to my strength and balance I managed to control my bike through an epic skid as a car turned in front of me going down a hill in London.
Thank you Tom and UCF!
Personal note to anyone reading this looking to use a PT for the first time or looking for a new one to challenge you, please give these guys a try you will not be disappointed I promise you!”

“Just to make it clear that I have had knee surgery in the past, and many other breaks and fractures through both skateboarding and motor cycling, so to feel in good shape on the track is something I did not think would come back. Recently I spent three days on a track in Cartagena in Spain. No cramps, no pains in the knees. Every one else was complaining of painful, stiff legs and I felt like I could have carried on for days more! (though the same can’t be said for the training sessions, but no pain no gain!). Thanks Tom”
