Cure For Jet Lag

So we just got back from Utah on Monday.

We learnt loads and we look forward to sharing our new found knowledge with you all very soon.

I have a few things I want to talk about today.

Firstly, despite an 11hr flight from Paris to Salt Lake City, I experienced no jet-lag. I’ve mentioned this before but this time my protocol worked even better.

This is what I did –

I ate my last meal at 9.30 pm on Tuesday night. Our flight was at 6 am the next morning. I fasted the whole way until we got to Salt Lake City which was 23 hrs in total. I drunk mineral water and a few coffees and that was it. The problem with eating processed food and alcohol on a long haul is the fact that your digestion is impaired due to the poor air quality in the aircraft cabin. With a reduced capacity for optimal digestion plus processed rubbish, this is a sure fire way to promote jet-lag.

Let’s be honest, we only eat the food on a long haul flight to ease the boredom and give us something to do.

We go to Salt Lake City about 2 pm ish their time which was really 9 pm GMT. I was ready to eat then and had a salad with chicken breast. Once we got to our hotel I did some light cardio for about 30 min. This is key here. This helps alleviate jet lag symptoms massively and must be done, despite the fact that all you want to do is go to sleep.

We stayed awake until about 10 pm and then I took 2 mg of Melatonin.

Melatonin helps to restore the balance and regulate the hormones in your body. I slept well that night and went through the next few days with virtually no symptoms of jet lag at all. I only got tired once at about 2 pm one day and not for more than 10 mins. I continued to take 2 mg of melatonin each night we there.

Overall I felt excellent and I would recommend this to everyone. On the way back I did exactly the same. I ate a meal that evening and then nothing again until 3 pm the next day when I arrived home. I was back to work today at 6.30 am and have no jet lag whatsoever.

RESULT.

I will take 2 mg melatonin for a further 7 days and by then my natural hormonal cycle will be back to normal.

Next I want to mention our iPad competition.

I mentioned before that the growth of this newsletter is very important to us. From a humble beginning nearly 3 years ago with just 100 names, the list has continued to grow to over 6000. We want to continue this growth and the aim is 10,000 by the end of 2014.

The iPad will be awarded to the person that submits the most names to us. These people can be work friends, work colleagues, family and just about anyone that wants to learn about health, fat loss, nutrition, training and feeling great. We want people that actually want to be added so please make sure that they have given you permission before you send the names to us.

The competition starts from today, 27th February and will run for 2 weeks so submit those names starting now and good luck. We have given away 4 iPads over the last 2 years so this will be number 5 :)

That is all for now.

Have a great weekend and I will speak to you all very soon.
